Life's challenges can be overwhelming. Sometimes you may not even know what exactly is keeping you from achieving your goals. Whether it’s managing stress and emotions or parenting a child with behavioral or developmental difficulties, I am here and willing to give you a listening ear and a helping hand.
MANAGING STRESS
We are all exposed to stressful situations, both positive and negative. A wealth of empirical evidence has shown that stress is a necessary element in our lives that plays an important role in survival. Nevertheless, stress can have negative effects on our physical and emotional health, resulting in constant moodiness, headaches, insomnia and avoidance of responsibilities. But what actually matters, according to findings published in the International Journal of Stress Management, is not the number of stressful situations that we are exposed to, nor the amount of stress that we have to withstand. Most important is our perception and subjective interpretation of the stressor, and how we cope with it.
MANAGING EMOTIONS
Most of us have experienced sorrow, anxiety, anger or frustrations. Yet the causes, effects and ways to control these emotions are sometimes not well understood. Data suggests that many resort to habitually suppressing these emotions, which has been linked to weakened health—physical, mental, and psychological. Being listened to by someone who genuinely cares about you and who can make it easier for you to understand, manage and resolve these emotions can be extremely helpful.
CARREER GUIDANCE
'There comes a time in every person's life when they will have been confronted with that one challenging question: What do you want to do/be when you grow up ? For some, this question can be frightening, for others it is easily answered. Nevertheless, even those who found this an easy question and continued to experience financial security in their lives will have faced unhappiness in their careers. For this reason, it’s imperative that we all work hard to discover our individual purpose and learn to work with joy and wisdom as we manifest our creative flow.
REDUCE ADHD & COPE WITH AUTISM
Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) causes impulsive or hyperactive behavior. Children with ADHD may be forgetful and find it difficult to pay attention in class or stay organized. This can cause problems at school and frustration for parents and educators.
